About our classes

Watch your little one grow in physical confidence as they conquer our weekly-changing circuit of mini action stations!

Our structured classes are expertly designed to provide plenty of practice and challenge to help develop a child’s gross and fine motor skills: view our intelligent-play chart (PDF 1.2mb).

They will also be taught how to master fundamental and age-appropriate movements, as well as exercises that lay the foundations to more advanced and tricky manoeuvres.

Each term is shaped around a fun and stimulating learning theme. For summer 2012 it is 'Once upon a time', based on well-known children's fairytales.

All classes require adult supervision. In some sections of the class we’ll show you how to guide your child safely through the apparatus and exercises, in other parts you can simply sit back and watch them achieve!

For your reassurance, all our instructors are qualified CYMCA exercise professionals and our classes are fully insured.

The TK Acheivers' Awards

At the end of each term, your child will be invited to take part in a fun assessment*. It’s optional, but we think it’s a great way for you to chart their achievements and celebrate the big steps that they have made.

How it works is that we’ll observe your child as they perform six set skills. These will be skills that we have practiced and mastered together throughout the term. Successfully completed, they’ll receive written feedback on their performance, as well as their own certificate and personalised trophy to display with pride! The cost to take part each term is £5.

Meet Victoria, our lead TK instructor

Vicky and Guile

As a trained children’s dance and exercise instructor, and mother of a very energetic 4-year old boy, movement’s in my blood and wanting the very best for my child is at the top of my agenda.

I’ve tried lots of different children’s exercise classes, but up to now they’ve fallen short of my expectations. I want the instructor to give my child the attention that they would give to their own, I want them to help me to track my child’s achievements and show me how I can help him become the very best he can be. And I want to feel a sense of growing and learning together.

This is why I created the Totally Kids programme. I wanted to offer the type of classes that I wanted to go to, with activities that are thoughtfully designed, attentively delivered, in a safe and friendly environment.

I’m confident that you are going to love taking part in our classes. It really is a great way for your son or daughter to learn, for you to take an active part in their physical development, as well as have the opportunity to meet like-minded parents in your area with children of a similar age.

Let’s learn, play and conquer, together!
